TPE reinforced plastics combine enhanced mechanical strength with inherent flexibility and excellent weather resistance, making them ideal for automotive seals, soft-grip tools, and consumer products that demand both durability and tactile performance.
TPE: thermoplastic polyurethane elastomer
TPE (thermoplastic polyester elastomer) is a block copolymer containing polyester hard segments and polyether soft segments.
Among them, the polyether soft segment and the amorphous polyester form an amorphous phase, and the hard segment of polyester crystallizes to form a crystalline microregion as a physical crosslinking point.
TPE combines the elasticity of rubber with the strength of engineering plastics. Its soft sections provide flexibility, mimicking rubber's characteristics, while the rigid components ensure processability, matching plastic's properties. This material offers superior processability and extended durability. Compared to engineering materials, it maintains comparable high-strength characteristics while delivering enhanced flexibility and dynamic mechanical performance.
